Quick and Easy Macadamia Nut Biscotti
Today was a great day spent with my kids and we discovered a new recipe for biscotti that was so easy to make that used a few ingredients we already had in the cupboards.
All you need:
- package of your basic refrigerated cookie dough
- 1/2 a cup of macadamia nuts coarsely chopped.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees while you are pressing the cookies and dough together to get blended in. Once heated, put the cookie dough onto your baking sheets into 2 rectangular tubes of dough roughly the width you would want your cookies to have, bake them for 11 to 13 minutes until they are no longer soft.
When they are done, remove from oven and let cool for 3 to 5 minutes. Slice them into 1-inch slices and put them back into the oven for another 3 to 4 minutes. We opted to melt a small handful of chocolate chips in one bowl and a small handful of white chips in another then drizzled both over the cookies once they were cooled.
We got a dozen from a basic cookie package that was supposed to make 24 cookies. Good luck and have fun with it.
